After nearly five decades after his divorce to Jill Biden, 72-year-old Bill Stevenson is still bitter. He was married to Jill from 1970 until their divorce in 1975. Although Joe Biden claims that he met Jill during a blind date in 1975, Stevenson tells a different story, and his version of events is one plagued by infidelity. According to Stevenson, Joe Biden swooped in and launched a juicy affair with Jill a year before the divorce was finalized – and because he says Biden stole his woman, Stevenson is casting a vote for Trump in November.
Although it has been forty-five years since his divorce to Jill, Stevenson still feels sour and that he was “betrayed by the Bidens.” When he first told the Daily Mail in August about how Joe Biden allegedly had an affair with Jill during the final year of his failing marriage to her, few people took notice. But now that he has spoken to Inside Edition about his take on the events, the story has exploded.
The storybook romance that Joe and Jill Biden tell is very different from the down-and-dirty events that Stevenson remembers. According to the Bidens, Joe and Jill met on a blind date after her divorce. At the time, Joe was dealing with the horrific trauma of losing his first wife (Joe with family below) to a fatal car crash.
While sitting across from Inside Edition host Steven Fabian, Stevenson made it very clear that he did not believe the blind date story one bit.
“No, not even a little bit,” he said, regarding its truth.
Now, Stevenson is rushing to market with an untitled book that he hopes will expose the scandalous truth behind Joe and Jill’s love story. While it is unclear who will publish this book and if it ever will be distributed, Stevenson insists that his version of the story is correct.
“I was betrayed by the Bidens. Joe was my friend; Jill was my wife,” he said.
He claims that Joe and Jill were introduced three years before the fated “blind date.”
Stevenson and Jill married when they were still almost children. He met Jill in the summer of 1969 and rushed to marry her just six months later when she turned eighteen.
Back in the early 1970s, Stevenson was the “cool guy” around Delaware. He ran a popular rock and roll venue in Wilmington and takes credit for introducing Jill to his alleged cuckold, Joe.
In the early 1970s, Biden is a council member on his way to the United States Senate. He was married to his first wife, Neilia, who died in a car crash just four months later.
“I threw a fundraiser for him in August, raised between $2,500 and $3,000,” said Stevenson. “I introduced Joe to Jill in 1972. Right before the election, in ’72, Jill, Joe, Neilia, and I were in his kitchen. How do you forget that?”
A few years later, in 1974, Stevenson had to drive to New Jersey to pay Bruce Springsteen in advance of the show at the Delaware venue. That’s when he claims Joe Biden stole his wife. He accused Jill of cheating, but she denied it.
“It was years ago, but guess what – it’s so current right now. Because he is picking on people about character,” said Stevenson. “I’ve said from the very beginning that I have no hard feelings about Joe, Jill, the affair. But if I don’t do it now, it’s never going to be able to be brought up.”
